Norrvikens trädgårdar

About the project

The Gardens of Norrviken is a dream fulfilled. The founder, Rudolf Abelin, arrived in 1905, looking for a place where he could create “a living garden museum”. He wanted to create a garden that people would admire. He also wanted to develop new cultivation methods, for which he among other things was awarded a gold medal at the World Fair in Paris. The Gardens of Norrviken are not only a place for garden enthusiasts but also a meeting place for art, culture, and food, with a wide range of exhibitions, events, and a restaurant serving local ingredients. The gardens open for the season each spring, offering visitors a place for inspiration, peace and contemplation as well as fun and activities.
